The City of Haven supplies electricity, water, sewer, and refuse disposal service to all residents.

In order to open a utility account, the city requires each new customer making application for utility service to make a cash deposit in advance with the City Clerk in the amount equal to the expected average bill for a three month period or $250.00, which ever is the lower; except that for home owners the amount is equal to the expected average bill for a three month period or $150.00, which ever is the lower.

If the new utility customer can provide a letter of good credit from the previous electric utility service, indicating no more than one late charge in the last 12 months of service, no deposit will be required.  Bills are mailed on the 15th of each month, and are due on the 4th of the following month.

A burn site is available for city residents to haul tree limbs and clean lumber only. This site is  located one-quarter mile east of Haven Road on First Street. Contact the city for burn site hours.
