Parks and Recreation
A wide variety of activities for all ages is offered through Haven’s Recreation Commission. For a current schedule of programs, contact Merritt Wright at (620)465-3555. In addition, the Commission supervises the grounds of Veteran’s Park on South Reno and Engweiler Park on North Salina. Two baseball diamonds, a tennis court, swimming pool, and playground equipment are located at Engweiler Park. A gazebo, community building, and playground equipment are available at Veteran’s Park. The community building may be rented for parties and family gatherings. Contact the city office for details.
The City’s pool opens each summer in conjunction with Memorial Day weekend and is open seven days a week, weather permitting. Hours are 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday; 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and Thursday.
Swim parties may be scheduled through the pool manager, and lessons are offered for grade school students through the Red Cross at a nominal fee and at a time specified by the pool manager.
The Wellness Center is run by a nonprofit group, and the membership contact is Jessica Hoskinson. Contact 620-465-2792 for memberships or see the City of Haven’s website: http://www.havencityhall.org/
